You Can Make A Difference

Hey there!

I once came across a group of Pakistanian guys –in their early 20’s I guess when I had to ask permission to take one of their seats from their table in an Arab restaurant. Frankly I was having thoughts like being treated strangely cause’ possibly they’re foreigners on a tour in Malaysia. To my amusement, they smiled kindly and nodded their agreement. Believe me, I’ve never seen young men treat strangers that nice. Just in case if you say because I’m a girl, no. It’s not flirty, it’s pleasuring. You can see how honest they seem.

Then I felt bad about making assumptions on people that quickly.

Similar to when it comes to racism.

To be honest I’m sick of all this argument according to races. We live in one country for God’s sake. True, I’ve read all the messages people pass regarding to what other races are planning to do with Malays.

“We will treat them as nice as possible. Plant their trust on us and use this opportunity to go drooling over their wealth and bring them down. They’re very easy to be beaten up. We’re conquering the economic so far. Remember, this will be ours, blablablabla….”

Yes yes I get it. It’s good to be spreading ‘the love’ about other races evil plans on us Malays. True, malays are rather showing signs of stupidity as a majority of the population in Malaysia. However, let’s take it on another view. Fighting to protect our own race is nothing more than a sense of selfish. No offence, I admit I am embarrassed for what my race has done publicly doesn’t matter even in entertainments. No attitude. No manners. Too obsessed with excitement. Too busy enjoying life.

My honest say, if you really want to keep on being crazy, make sure you’re not a symbolism to Islam. Do understand you may never be able to change the statement “Never judge a car by it’s driver”. Because that’s what they see. Our reputation spoiler.

If you’re a girl and it’s obvious you wear a hijab, there’s no option on doing stuff that doesn’t resemble Islam do you?

Now before wanting to blame other races on this harsh involvements, reflect yourself first. If you play an important role as a Malay on doing whatever you like without boundaries, indeed it’s embarrassing. So don’t utter a word of saying other races are worth being banned. We’re all equal.

Oh. Please take note to put away all politic issues here. Don’t relate anything about races with politics. Not when I’m talking. Lol.

Let us relate Jews and Palestians for example.

(P/S: I’m sorry if I haven’t discussed much about news on Islam. Ever since I got graduated from school, I don’t know what source to believe and tell you. I am blind on knowing the truth. Medias are just rubbish)

Simple as it looks but those are the so-called Jews we assume as an enemie to Muslims. Reality is they aren’t as bad as we think they are. They’re citizens who lives in the holy land and yet doesn’t disgrace and make a simple act of violence to Muslims. They, too, live in humanity with the teachings their religion has taught upon.

So what happens when all Jews get world attention regarding to violence in Palestine and are blamed entirely?

They tend to make an activist proving they have nothing to do with the extremists. We, without knowledge simply point out our fingers to them. Zionists are the ones we’re banning.
The problem when it comes to Zionists is when don’t have a single idea what kind of people they are, reality yes?

Let’s look back to our country Malaysia.

The story goes on like a fairytale. Suppose that a malay man landed on a land without a single thread of human corruption. He then becomes king and rules the land. He marries and got a boy and named him Prince Aiman. He then adopts two more children named Weh Cin and Prakash. They, too, own the land but they know Aiman is the worth one to be the next ruler because it was his father who found the land. Only then, Aiman is so stubborn since he was so sure he’ll take the thrown and became spoilt. Weh Cin and Prakash has no choice but to condemn him and find solutions on making the land theirs.

P/s: Sorry, I suck when it comes to stories. That’s why teacher encourages me to make factual essays.

That’s what they think. That’s what people besides to be Malay think. It’s just not fair. Then again, they are a part of our lives. They are our neighbours. They’re everywhere there’s no denying that. They’re not stupid. So are we.

So what can a normal average citizen like you and me do?

Respect each other and be smart.

Who are we to ban one another? Even if they are rumours stating Chinese will do such things to bring us down, then all we have to do is be careful, not instantly attacking them. We can’t equalize and act of hatred from a differ raced person with another person who has the same race as he does.

Not all of them hate Malays. And not all Malays hate them.

Sometimes when a different race looks at you, you know if they hate you despite of your race.

I did, once, in a train when me and my friend wanted to go KLCC from TBS to watch The Fault in Our Stars. He was somewhat 50. I had this feeling he doesn’t like Malays, let alone teenagers. So I greeted him and had this simple conversation. When my stop arrived, I left him from the train with a smile. And really, I wished I could make a difference on his perception about Malays.

A bad person can cause the majority to hate his whole race. But a person who shows good vibes can change a person’s perception of realizing that not all of the individuals from that race are the same.

See? Every problem has it's solution.

My grandfather also told me the time when he visited his Chinese friend in a hospital who suffered a bad infection in his mouth. My grandfather was still close to him though he's so racist when it comes to politic and discussion matters regarding to races. He whispered to my grandfather softly in the ear, holding his hand and said;
“You are the best Malay friend I have ever had”.

We keep saying we are embarrassed with specific people that represents us to be bad or lack of morality. But indeed, we can change their way of thinking by being that difference.

No hatred please. Just spread the love.

hahaha seriously they're cute. But I don't want them in my room. Spooky.

Even so, be smart. Be friends with the whole community, but don’t be dumb enough to be in a trap of those who hate us.

Example for those who will be in college. Don’t involve yourself to be in a college where a majority of the students and councils are from a differ race. They’ll push you down. Taylors for instance. Malay lecturers told me so about it.

Whatever it is, I’m a rebel to racism.

You’ve got brains. You can make a difference. :)
