Hereafter- Life After Death

Now here's an interesting topic everyone is dying to know about. After reading Dr. Zakir Naik's answer to such a question as this -which was ranked as one of the most common questions asked by non muslims, I thought its better off to share in this blog as well. Its reasonable and completely logical.

"How can you prove the existence of hereafter i.e: life after death?"

1. The existence of hereafter is indeed a logical belief, not based on blind faith.
There are more than a thousand verses in the Glorious Quran, containing scientific facts and many of those facts have been discovered in the last few centuries. But science has not advanced to a level where it can confirm every statement of the Quran.
Suppose 80% of all that is mentioned in the Quran has been proved 100% correct. About the remaining 20% science makes no categorical disprove these statements. With the limited knowledge that we have, we cannot say for sure whether even a single percentage or verse of the Quran in this 20% portion is wrong. Thus when 80% of the Quran is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is disproved, logic says that even the 20% portion is correct.

My ustaz once showed us the exact picture as this -double appearance of the sun.
This was when we were on the way to Makkah (2013). Kinda felt as if I'm in Star Wars.

2. Concept of peace and human values are useless without the concept of hereafter.
Is robbing a good or an evil act? A normal balanced person would say it is evil. The question here is, how would a person who does not believe in hereafter convince a powerful and influential criminal that robbing is evil?
Suppose I am the most powerful and influential criminal in the world but at the same time I'm a very logical person. I say robbing is good because it leads me to a luxurious life. Thus, robbing is good for me. If anyone could put foward a single argument as to why it is evil for me, I will stop immediately. The answers below are most likely what you'd say to me:
  • The person who is robbed will face difficulties.  ( True, it does only benefit myself and burden the person who is robbed, but how am I suppose to care about that? )
  • Someone may rob me (Some people would argue I'd get robbed. No one can rob me because I am an influential and powerful criminal, it is only risky for a common man but not me as I have a dozens of security guards and etc)
  • It is a selfish act. ( Some way robbing is selfish. True, and yet I'd see no problem when it comes on that statement. It enjoys my life)
  • It is against humanity. ( They say a person should care about other human beings. I counter argue by asking as to who wrote the law called "humanity" and why should I follow it? It may be good for the sentimental and emotional people but certainly not for a logical person like me as I see no benefits in caring for other human beings)
Hence, all these arugments that attempt to prove that robbing is an evil act are futile. These arguments may satisfy a common man but not an influential and powerful criminal like me. It is no surprise that there are indeed many criminals in this world.

A Muslim can convince a powerful and influential criminal.
Now let us switch sides. Now I as a Muslim will try to influence you on stopping this evil act.

3. Every human wants justice.
Each and every human being desires justice. Even if he doesn't want justice for others he wants Ait for himself. Some people are intoxicated by power and influence and suffering of others. The same people, however, would surely object if some injustice occured to them. The reason such people become insensitive is that they worship power and influence -which they feel, not only allows them to inflict injustice on others but also prevents others from doing likewise to them.

4. God is the most Powerful and Just
As a Muslim I would convince the criminal about the existence of God. The Glorious Quran says:
"Allah is never unjust, In the least degree" [Al-Quran 4:40]
The question is, why doesn't God punish me? The criminal, being a logical and scientific person believes the existence of God -after being presented with the versus of the Quran. He may argue, if God is truly Powerful, why doesn't He punish me?

This, people is indeed a test for the hereafter:

" He who created death and life, that he may try which of you is the best in deed: and He is the Exalted In Might, forgiving" [ Al-Quran 67:2]

Final justice on the day of judgement:

" Every soul shall have the taste of death:  And only on the day of judgement shall you be paid for your full recompense. Only he who is saved from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained object (of life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception". [Al-Quran 3:185]

Final justice will be meted out during the day of judgement - for those who had suffered injustice will be proclaimed with full contentment of the ones who made fault towards them, if, they do not get justice during their life on Earth. There, the rapist, robber, will surely be held accountable and will be punished in the hereafter.

Lastly, this is my fav part on answering Dr. Zakir Naik's answer regarding to the existence of hereafter.

Hilter killed 6 million jews during his reign of terror. Even if the police arrested him, what punishment can the human law give Hilter to prevail? The most they can do is send him to the gas chamber. But that will only be a punishment for killing one jew. What about the other remaining of 5 million, nine hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine Jews?

Allah can burn Hilter more than 6 million times in hereafter:

" Those who reject our signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, That they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise." [Quran 4:56]

now, any doubts on the existence of hereafter?
anyways, just want you to know,
it's strange that some people are judging others' belief for their bad behaviors.
