Easy Ways to Increase Your Love in Salah

Let’s accept the fact that there will be times when we need the urge to pray salah with interest. To really get up and have the motivation to pray. But how exactly do you make it a constant daily routine without boredom?

If you’re going through the same dilemma on this, we’ve listed 10 extremely super duper easy ways any Muslim can achieve restfulness, sincerity and contentment as the contributor to an increase of love in salah *giggles*

      1.   Perform Salah with Friends

Firstly, every good habit is best when it starts with other people. Have your friends join you together in performing salah. Not only does it actually encourage you to pray more, but also creates this sensation that friends will also want to perform and remind you when you start to lose motivation.


      2.   Pray in a Mosque

What can be more fascinating that being able to pray in a mosque? Sometimes you just fall in love with the architecture of the mosque for example. Or you take pleasure in the imam reciting the surahs during prayer. Beautiful and tranquilized isn’t it? To be able a part of the Jemaah too makes every salah worth it.


      3.   Pray in a Comfortable Environment

If you can’t go to the mosque there’s always other alternatives. You can actually grow your love in salah when you pray in an atmosphere you find extremely comfortable. Wherever you like as long as it’s clean. In your house, by the beach, on a hill, anywhere really that can give you inner peace. 


      4.   Supply Yourself with Clean Clothes

Imagine your trousers get a little smudge of dirt as you accidently stepped into.  Would you feel comfortable to pray? Haha, I won’t. But this varies on people. By having spare clothes in case you get awfully dirty for eg can help you feel more comfortable in your salah.  


     5.   Use Your Favorite Salah Clothings

Pick your favorite sajdah. Kopiah. Telekung or even kain pelikat. Make them a necessity when you are about to perform salah. Because you know it’s your belonging and you are comfortable with it. Bring them every time you travel, to work or even to your lecture classes.

In some other countries, Muslims prefer performing salah using the clothes they readily wear. So if you apply this it's always back to number 4 :) 


      6.    Take Wudhu Constantly

We’re sure everyone has come to the point of being very heavy-eyed in performing prayers yet still uses the previous wudhu. Well, it’s no doubt by taking wudhu often makes you extra fresh for salah –even if you know you don’t need it. 


     7.   Perform Early Prayers

Who doesn't get stressed when you've put shalah as the last priority of your activity yet prayer time is almost finished?  It's hard and you often unable to focus in your salah -cause you are running out of time. Pray early. It's extremely awesome when you allow yourself to pray first -which increases your spirit to do it all over again. 


8. Apply Your Favorite Perfume

We all love that one scent that just makes us more excited to perform shalah. to actually smell good and feel good. One great location to apply perfume on your body is on your wrists. So every time you make a takbir ihram', that smell keeps coming and makes you perfectly fresh, engrossing you more to focus in salah. 


9. Recite Newly Memorized Surahs


It's time to apply that new surah you've memorized a few days ago into your shalah! It can be unintersting to pray 5 times a day using the same surah's all over again. We've gained intellectual stimulations to stay energized by reciting new verses from the Qur'an. No doubt you'll enjoy every second of your prayer. 


10. Do Other Good Deeds

Let's accept the fact that even when you apply all those steps above, nothing can increase your love in shalah more than to actually do other good deeds. Read the Quran, do charity, zikir etc. They may be differ activities but note that they lead to one purpose. Being a good Muslim and contributes to our supplication to Allah. 


"And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times" (4:103)
